By seeing what you can’t,
you can treat what you don’t.
These two videos share key findings from a Galderma study on facial and truncal acne, as well as acne scarring.
The campaign, “Hidden Truth,” explores how acne is often misrepresented as a brief, superficial condition when, in fact, it’s a chronic disease with lasting physical and emotional effects.
We used still images subtly animated in the style of cinemagraphs to create a calm, reflective pace—almost dreamlike. The visual concept of frosted glass became a metaphor for the shame and concealment many people with acne experience. It also symbolized the invisible barrier that often separates sufferers from their full social and emotional lives.
The shoot took place during lockdown, which meant maintaining strict two‑metre distancing on set. We even had someone with a measuring stick to keep us all compliant with the rules!
Special thanks to creative directors Marco Mollo and Luke O’Driscoll—their vision and collaboration made this project a genuine pleasure to work on.
